Studentum.fi annually determines the ranking of university cities in Finland
In the third survey, 33 university cities were ranked according to ten different parameters. Each factor was given a weight according to the preliminary survey carried out by studentum.fi in the fall of 2023. Success in the parameter chosen as the most important by the respondents brought the most points in the ranking. Finally, the points were added up and the cities were ranked based on them.

"Turku took the victory in the parameter investigating student life and ranked among the top three also when examining the cities' leisure and sports opportunities. In our survey's open responses, the city's fun and diverse urban life was also praised," says Krista Kalaja from studentum.fi, who was responsible for conducting the survey.
This year, the most points could be achieved from the "Quality Teaching" parameter. Other measurable things were, for example, student experiences, leisure and sports opportunities offered by cities, and the number of student apartments.
